At Tails R Us, we have one true north that guides our actions: we will care for your pet as if they were our own. As pet owners, we understand the level of trust that it takes to leave your pet with someone. We do not take this trust lightly. We are committed to providing a safe and secure environment where your pets can have as much fun and enjoy their stay to the fullest!
Hours of Operation
- MONDAY – SATURDAY
7:00 AM TO 7:00 PM
Closed on Sundays - Easy access! No appointment is needed for our daycare services. Just stroll right in and simply drop your pet(s) off.
- Boarding is available 365 days a year including holidays. Reservations are required for all boarding pet(s) with a phone call at minimum prior to arrival. Reservations allocate priority to available spots.
Daycare/Boarding Admission Requirements
- Your pet must be at least 16-weeks of age or 4-months old.
- Your pet(s) must be fully up to date on vaccines. Pet Parents must submit written verification of current vaccination records on the following shots: Rabies, DHLPP or “distemper”, Bordetella (every 6 months) or “kennel cough”. It is your responsibility to provide ongoing verification of current vaccinations when they are due.
- All dogs enrolled in daycare are required to pass an initial temperament assessment to determine temperament, play style and mannerisms. This is to ensure they are a good fit for our open-play environment.
- We strongly recommend that your fur baby visits either our daycare or boarding at least once every 3 months to ensure that they stay acclimated and comfortable in our environment. If your pet has been absent from daycare or have not been in our open play environment for greater than 3 months, it may be necessary to go through a re-acclimation session ($20 fee).
Check-In and Check-Out Times
- Boarding charges are incurred per night of stay.
- Standard Drop-off Hours for Boarding: 12 Noon-3:00 PM (any time after 12 Noon)
- Standard Pick-Up Hours for Boarding: 7:30 AM-12:00 PM (any time before 12 Noon)
- Earlier drop-off times or later pick-up times are available at our standard daycare rates. You may drop off your pet(s) as early as 7:00 AM Mon-Saturday except Sundays when daycare is closed.
- The latest daycare pick-up time is by business closing time at 7:00 PM. However, we understand that there may be unforeseen circumstances that you are going to be late with pick-up. Please contact us prior to closing and we will accommodate a 1-hour late pick up. At 8:00PM, your pet will be boarding with us for the night.
Cancellation
Tails R us requires at least a 48-hour notice for all overnight boarding cancellation.
Food
All food and snacks must be supplied or specified by the Pet Parent. Please bring a sufficient supply of food and snacks to cover your pet’s entire stay at Tails R Us. Should your dog run out of food, you agree to have Tails R Us supply the same or comparable food or snacks for your pet(s). Please note that to ensure the well-being of your pet, we will not feed anything unless provided or directed by you.
Any incidentals will be added to the total cost of pet care upon check-out.
Leashes, Walking Aids and Properly-Fitted Equipment
Pet Parents must supply fitted walking devices for your pet(s) during his/her stay. For your dog’s safety, please ensure that your pets are properly secured with leashes as you are going in and out of the business establishment for drop-off or pick-up.
Personal Pet Belongings
For the health and safety of all our doggie family, we cannot accept additional personal belongings from home apart from food and medication.
Medication/Supplement Administration
During your pet’s stay, you may require medications to be administered for your pet. Please complete the medication/supplement administration form to give us specific instructions to prevent medication errors.
Medical and Health
Your pet’s medical history and information is very important to us. If your pet is not feeling well (e.g. vomiting, diarrhea, etc.), please do not bring him/her to our facility as this may cause other pets to become ill.
